WATER GAMES

IN THE MOUNTAIN PARK WILHELMSHÖHE

The Water Games can be seen every Wednesday, Sunday and public holiday during the season. The production regularly attracts thousands of enthusiastic guests to Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, who follow the course of the water on foot.

EVERY YEAR FROM MAY 1 TO OCTOBER 3

For over 300 years, the waterworks have functioned according to the same principle. Only by using physical laws and without the use of pumps, the water masses flow from the foot of the Hercules to the palace pond. Through a planned staging, the elemental force of water is masterfully expressed.

The water gushes over the cascades, the Steinhöfer waterfall, the Devil's Bridge and falls over the aqueduct and the Peneus cascades down to the castle pond. Here, the water pressure causes the "Great Fountain" to shoot up more than 50 meters. This spectacle is the conclusion and climax of the water games.

Start is at 14.30 o'clock directly at the Hercules. There will follow 6 more stations. Each water spectacle is staged for about 10 minutes. At about 4 p.m. the grandiose spectacle comes to an end in a fountain about 50 meters high. If you follow the water from Hercules to Wilhelmshöhe Palace, you will cover a distance of about 2.3 km. No entrance fee for Bergpark and water games.
